Our motto? Take it step-by-step. We’re all on a different journey and nutrition doesn’t look exactly the same for any two people. To build sustainable healthful eating habits, you need a personalized approach and a deep-dive into the root causes of your concerns.

Please, let me elaborate on the complexity of this tweet I wrote…
Yes, genes run in families but often times attitude, diet, and lifestyle run in families as well. Genetics can put you at risk for various diet-induced chronic diseases but just because someone in your family has/had it, doesn’t mean you have the same destiny. Here are what some of the experts have to say about it:
“Poor diet is a major contributor to the leading causes of chronic disease and death in the United States, including coronary heart disease, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and stroke.”(1)
“Attitude, diet, and lifestyle run in families as much as genetics do. The good thing about this is that we have choices about our attitude, diet, and lifestyle.” How Your Mind Can Heal Your Body David Hamilton, PhD
“The good news is that you have the power to help prevent chronic disease, as making positive diet and lifestyle changes can help reduce risk. Eating healthy foods, getting enough exercise, and refraining from tobacco and excessive alcohol use confer numerous health benefits—including possibly preventing the onset of chronic diseases.” Harvard School of Public Health – Disease Prevention
The good news is, we have the POWER to change our mindset, eating habits, and lifestyle in an effort to prevent the onset of chronic disease ?
